Destin

Destin is located on the peninsula separating the Choctawhatchee Bay from the Gulf of Mexico. 

Surrounding waters make Destin an excellent place to charter a deep sea fishing trip or participate in the local fishing rodeo during the month of October.  Snorkeling and scuba diving are also popular near the jetties. On the weekends you will find a popular destination is the sandbar near the harbor, Crab Island.

Henderson Beach offers an place to enjoy the natural beaches of the area in all of their glory.  They also offer education on the protection of our local wildlife including sea turtles and dolphins. 

The Destin Harbor has a quarter-mile stretch of businesses and establishments offer some of the most exquisite views of the harbor at sunset along with great shopping and dining destination for residents. Many of the restaurants offer seafood from our local waters.  The Boardwalk hosts a number of events throughout the year as well. 

Golf and tennis are also popular activities in Destin.  Golfers can enjoy traversing seaside bunkers with world-class facilities located throughout the Okaloosa and South Walton region. Some of the worlds most renowned golf architects including Bob Cupp, Fred Couples and Tom Fazio have had a hand in designing the courses in Destin.

US News and World Report ranked Destin as the #1 beach in Florida in 2014.  Southern Living rated Destin as the #4 beach town in the US in 2020.
